Coaches Philosophy
A coach’s job is to develop players as individuals, at the same time removing individualism from the team. The players’ well being and self-esteem will take priority over the success of the team. Emphasis will be placed on effort not winning. Winning is the result of a positive effort and the team striving for a common goal. A team can only progress as far as it’s least experienced player.

For Your Information

- Be Positive. Negative comments are not acceptable, constructive comments can be discussed.

- Coaches must be informed in advance if child will not be able to attend a PRACTICE or GAME.

- All children will receive equal playing time in regular situations. Special teams may be used when it will benefit the entire team (e.g.. advancement in a tournament or playoff). Games should be fun and enjoyed by the entire family.

- Child must be fully dressed 10 minutes before ice time. Please allow yourself sufficient travel time. Arriving 30 minutes before ice time is appreciated.
- This is your child’s game. It will be beneficial to the players and the team if the players could be left alone (age permitting) in the dressing room to bond. A selected parent (player rep) will remain in the room with the team. If your child requires assistance you will be called.
- Practices are to be taken seriously. Practices are preplanned and should be attended by everyone if the team is to succeed. It is at practice where the child will learn most of the skills required to develop as a team player.
- Players should acknowledge each other as they enter the dressing room.
- Disrespectful actions on and off the ice towards anyone will not be tolerated and dealt with accordingly.
- On ice concerns can be directed to the coaches, financial concerns can be directed to the manager.
